Our journey began years ago we were furnishing our first house and experienced the disappointment of finding the perfect walnut coffee table at a price tag well beyond our budget. With much more ambition that knowhow, we dusted off a hand-me-down table saw from Grandpa and set to work building exactly what we wanted in our new home.  Now, with more than 20 years of lessons learned under our belts, and perhaps now more ambition than knowhow in running a small business, we started Eifeam Wood and Metalworks.  Our goal with Eifeam is to simply provide bespoke home and outdoor furnishings to those looking for something truly unique without the inflated price tag that comes with calling something “bespoke.”

We will be the first to admit that Eifeam is growing from a small shop based out of our 3rd stall garage. We both have great engineering careers here in central Iowa that provide a great foundation for us to build and craft.  This little business simply provides a greater chance for us to leverage our creativity and connect with others, while putting a little extra cash flow into the finances. What does this mean for our customers? Know that your hand-crafted piece was made with the same care and quality as would any piece we are creating for ourselves or our friends and family.  We are small, focused, and motivated by you having a say in the design of your piece at a price point that doesn’t break the bank. Our customers are our friends, coworkers, and neighbors and there is nothing more satisfying than repeat or reference customers!

So what’s in a business name? Apparently everything if you ask the internet.  It’s your identity, it’s your brand, it’s your vision. For us, our name is simply a word that makes us smile every time we say it.  Eifeam.  See, we just smiled.   What could be a better reason to name ourselves Eifeam Wood and Metalworks?
